More than 25 years ago, I made the decision to dedicate my career to health care when I enrolled at University of Texas Medical Branch to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration. This passion continued as I earned a Masters in Health Administration from Texas Woman’s University in 2000. I have been fortunate to work in both the health care delivery and health care payor environment and I truly value the experiences I’ve had. 

I began my insurance career as an Implementation Manager 20 years ago working with large groups planning and overseeing all aspects of implementation. With this valuable experience it was an easy transition for me to move into Account Management where I held several positions focused on tactical, strategic and leadership aspects of servicing corporate plans and public entities. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with International benefit plans because of my passion for travel. I thrive on working with clients to develop and execute immediate and long-term business plans that align with their financial position and growth objectives. 

As part of the Continental Benefits team, I truly believe I am an extension of my clients and strive to continuously articulate overall strategy to ensure creative delivery of appropriate products, services and support. I believe that health care is necessary but, more importantly, it is personal and emotional. This is what fuels my motivation to care, listen and respond. 

I balance my professional life with my love for volunteer work and I am proud to have been a court appointed child advocate since 2008. As the Director of Client Services, I live my passions every day, working with our account managers, service teams and building external relationships. I look forward to sharing my experiences and making a difference.
